Hey all!
I hope you are doing well! Yes, this is yet another post about Korean Dramas, please bear with me as I rant about life lessons I learn from watching Korean Dramas! I hope that you enjoy this post!!
1. Don't Give Up! Have strength!
In many dramas, the main lead girl is living in a hard financial situation and is barely making a living off her job. In situations like this, her parents usually are either dead, or she has a mom/dad/step-parent who doesn't care at all. Despite the distractions and failures life may throw at her, she remains strong and doesn't give up. Of course she is human, so she may fall and not know how to get up at times, but she is one who takes life step by step.
2. Friendships are precious
Growing up, we gain and lose friendships frequently because of many factors. Sometimes it can't be helped, we lose contact or something of the sort, but sometimes, it can be helped. For example, in many girl friendships, the girl doesn't want her friend to go to a guy because she's worried that she'll lose her. It's so refreshing to witness pure and clean friendships that remind me to value my own friendships and to be appreciative of the people around me.
3. It's the little things that make life happy
Walks under the city lights, apartments and coffee shops, or sitting alone on the beach and watching the waves are some of the most therapeutic activities in life. Sometimes we just need to get away from everything, take the bus anywhere and shake our heads up and down to the music we're blasting in our ears. (Not too loud, but loud enough for you to escape the world for a bit) Sometimes, we just need to rant to ourselves, or someone else if they love you that much, and spill out all of our worries. These little things in life remind us that life is too short to be spent unhappy and that God has an amazing plan in mind for us.
4. Dating/marriage is a very serious matter
Of course we all know that marriage and dating is a very serious matter, but in our society nowadays, we get the impression that we can date whoever, marry whenever, and give our hearts to anyone. However, that is not the right mindset when dating. We should be very serious about any relationship we have and should be sure that our relationships with other people stay pure and Christ-centered. In Korean Dramas, even though it is not Christ-centered, it remains generally pure. I love how the guy is generally loyal to the girl, he takes care of her, and treats her well.
I'm sure there are much more than this, but here's what came off the top of my head! I hope that you enjoyed this and were able to nod your head in agreement. XD
Much love and keep dreaming,
Momo
