Hold On There A Little Longer
I sit under a blanket with coffee,
After a long day’s work,
And smile at all the ground I covered,
But feeling sad sometimes too.
I remind myself that bad days happen,
That they’re meant to shape futures,
That sometimes all people need are listeners,
And “I’m okay” isn’t true.
For all have their own journey to pursue,
And things aren’t the way they seem,
The loudest voices are heard bottled up,
And light is seen in darkness.
But life is too short to waste it away,
While dreams are so needed here,
And now is too precious for wasted time,
While there’s hope still tomorrow.
And you my dearest friend, while far away,
That loved dream catcher you are,
Don’t give up when things get difficult,
And please hold on there for now.
