Small Steps

Hey everyone!

I hope you all have been well. Lately, I've been realizing that I've been doing something wrong for a long time. I haven't been content with what's happening now, wishing away for a more exiting life-the life I feel like I deserve. Have you ever felt this way?

Maybe you feel like you just can't connect with the people around you because no one's on the same page as you. Maybe you're feeling a bit "behind" in life. Maybe everyone around you is getting there driver's license, going places that you want to go, and doing things that you feel like you need to do in this stage of life. Or maybe you're like me, and you're dealing with a sickness that downright sucks. And just maybe you're waiting for someone to take you in, to understand and connect with you on a deeper level and to be there for you. You get what I mean? Well, because sometimes, it can feel a bit suffocating to be in environments you don't feel "alive" in.

But, when thoughts like these start forcing us into a state of discontent and bitterness, we need to remember what my Onnechan once told me. She once told me, "God always gives us enough, no matter what our situation is." And it is true, He always gives us enough, and sometimes we can get so caught up in what our lives should be like, when we miss out on what He's given us now. He places us in each season in our life for a reason, and even when we don't understand it, we often start comparing our lives to others and wishing for what we think is a "better life."

I often think to myself, whenever I just can't connect with people, don't force it. Whenever you think someone is judging you for your choice of fandom or for whatever makes you happy, knowing that God gave you an irreplaceable gift to an irreplaceable life, to ignore the negativity. It's important to understand that our life is like no other life. Our life is sacred and beautiful. It was made by Someone Who knows what we need and places gifts and talents in our lives so that we may serve Him and be a blessing.

So what our lives isn't like what we expected? If we got exactly what we wanted each time in life, would we have been able to be where we are in this stage of life? God may take us though the darkest storms in life , but He is brighter than any light, and will help us to become a stronger person than before. So, next time you start to become discontent with where you are in life or you're going through a rough patch, know that everything will be ok. The Bible says to rejoice when tribulations come, for they help us to become stronger. We shouldn't remain the same person, but become stronger in our faith so that we can help other people. But most of all, remember why we live-and that is to please God. Let's stop this war of comparison and discontent. I think that it's about time we actually started to live.

Much love and keep dreaming,

Momo
