Wow, she actually posted more than one blog today?? I know, I know, I've been lacking in posting these days, so I thought of something else to post!!
Already 1/3 into the year, I've learned something really important. For a while, I've been so worried about what others thought about me, about my fandoms, and the way I express myself. As you know, I love K-pop, K-dramas, and Korean culture, and in the past, I have watched a lot of anime. These types of genres often have an uncertain feel around them, it's as if the people who are into those types of fandoms are weird and are often the nerds at school. As one who has been called a "weeaboo" before, it's sad to realize that the people around you can give you that same weird distance.
This convention I recently attended has really sunk in the fact that these types of genres shouldn't make you feel ashamed of liking them. (Of course, watch the appropriate ones, as in all genres.) If those appropriate ones make you happy and alive, then don't be ashamed of other people giving you a weird distance. When I noticed that other people noticed my fandoms, I kind of wanted to hide it. However, I think that the people who have found happiness in their specific fandoms and have been able to make other people happy through it, are able to really help people!
For me personally, I think that people around me can really notice that my fandoms have an affect on me, including the way I dress, the way I put my makeup on, and from all the posters in my room. The main reason why I dress the way I dress and the way I put my makeup on, is that it makes me happy in a healthy way, and I think that you too should do the same.
So, here's a picture of my husband-man who makes me cry every time I see him:
