Hey everyone!!
Ready for Monday? I'm still on weekend mode, but as harsh reality slaps me in the face, I learn how to not stress and be thankful. Life becomes so much more enjoyable when we can step back and realize that we are given so much, no matter what season God has us in.
So, why do we live? What is the point of life on Earth? Why do bad things happen to good people?
Ah, what good questions you have, class! I don't think that I've really touched upon the subject, but I think that it is so crucial to know. The reason why we live, why we exist, is because the Creator of everything, breathed life into us to fulfill the purpose of serving Him and glorifying Him on Earth. We are so complex and unique that it baffles me that people think that we were some accident.
To put it simply, the almighty God of the Bible, the One Who offers life far better than the ones we live on Earth, loves us and created us in His image. However, when sin entered the world through Adam and Eve, corruption, disease, sickness, and death came into the world. Of course, God knew that that would happen, but He allowed it to happen because He gives us free will. Therefore, He sent Jesus to die for our sins, so that we can have the chance to go to Heaven if we want to, otherwise, we are headed of hell since there's no sin in Heaven. And it's by faith, not by works, that we are able to go to Heaven.
So, my main goal and purpose in life is to love and serve Jesus. I accepted Him into my heart at a young age, but as I got older, I realized the weight of the words I spoke with my parents those years ago. My life without Him is pointless and it has no direction without Him. I hope that if you don't know Him yourself, that you will find Him as I did.
