What is Important to Consider in Your Soulmate

Hey everyone!!

How are you all? I have been a blogging mood lately, so I hope you are enjoying the extra content! Anyways, this post will be about what we all want in life-to be accepted and loved. There are many things to consider in a soulmate, but the best way to view this, is through the eyes of God. In every situation, in every moment in life, and in whatever we do, we must ask God for daily guidance and wisdom. Without proper wisdom, we will not be able to have a firm foundation. It is thanks to a wonderful friend and teacher did I learn the importance of seeking wisdom!

Before we are in a relationship, there is of course, a waiting period. I call this stage the "growing stage." It can be seen as challenging for many people to wait for God to bring the right person into their life because they want fulfillment and validation from other people. However, we must be wise and learn how to be patience for God's perfect timing. And this is why many parents want their children to wait for their teens to get older to date because as teens, we are still growing and we are often not able to understand the strong bond of marriage yet. So, although it may seem hard to wait, I advise that you take this time to really build your relationship with God and to be sure that you yourself are trying to cultivate yourself to become that Godly husband/wife for your future spouse. And remember, God made men to be with women, and not any other combination. Men are strictly men and women are strictly women.

1. Your Spouse Should Be a Christian!!

As Christians, our number one focus and motivation for our life should be Jesus. There should be nothing more important than Him-even our spouses. Therefore, our love for Jesus should be so much that we want to wait for God to bring us a spouse that will not complete us, but that our relationship will bring glory to God. However, I think that it is also important to know that if your spouse is not challenging you to be closer to God and if you don't feel God's presence in your conversations and company, I would take caution.

Like idols, if there's anything that is distracting you from God, we should get rid of it because ultimately, there is nothing valuable on this Earth like Jesus. However, with people, we need to keep the same concept in that we should chose to be around people who we can see Jesus through, otherwise, they can lead us astray from our faith. It is important to remember that there is nothing on this Earth that is worth us jeapardizing our faith. When Jesus comes back and everything is made right, all the materialistic things of this Earth that we put value in will all fade. Trust me, I also have issues with having idols or being materialistic because the things of the world can seem like they can offer happiness, but it is all momentary. We need to realize our priorities and chose Jesus first!!

2. Patience

Yes, more patience! Even though the waiting period is done, I think that is important for your boyfriend to want to wait for the perfect timing so that he can have ample time of getting to know you and your family well! I think that it shows much respect from the boyfriend if he is willing to wait however long the wait in order to have the perfect timing. Now, of course, all stories are different, but as long as he is dependent on God's timing, everything will work out!!!

3. Purpose

Boys can be jerks. Girls can be dumb. Combined, it can be a mess. However, I think that it is vitally important for your spouse to want to go into a relationship for a purpose that is biblically based and is of God. If he goes into the relationship for all the wrong reasons or because the relationship just "feels right," then things can start going wrong.

Of course, there are so many other things to consider, but for now, here's what I got! I hope you all have a fabulous week and I hope you remember God's love for you!

Much love and keep dreaming,

Momo
