Coffee Time, Jobs, and Single People

Hey everyone!

Ok, so this title took me a little bit longer to think up of, but here's what I got! Coffee time, jobs, and single ladies....But Momo, what are you talking about? I'll be getting to that pretty soon, but first, I thought that it's time that I started to pray in my blog!

Dear Jesus,

Thank You for today. I know I don't say it enough but I am truly thankful for the ability to express my thoughts, dreams, and Your love on this blog. Thank You so much for Your unconditional love and Your patience for us as we desire to pursue You. Please help us to serve you well this week as we seek to glorify You.

In Your Name I pray,

Amen

Anyway, coffee time? Just like how coffee lovers who absolutely need coffee in order to survive their day go way out of their way to attain coffee, we should have a desperate desire to spend time in His Word and in prayer daily. After all, we make time to brush our teeth and eat everyday, yet it is so easy to treat devotion time differently. What I found useful in these situations if you find that you are often skipping your devotions is to find a time of day where you can fully focus on His Word without any distractions and plan ahead so that you can have that time. Yes, we can have devotion time whenever we want, but I think it is best to do devotions when we can devote our full attention to Him. For example, I like doing my devotions after everyone in my family has gone to bed so that I can enjoy some time alone with God. I find that this method is very relaxing as I end my day ,but of course everyone is different, so let's utilize our time well. Even if it feels forced, God values and rewards obedience. Soon, you'll find that His presence is the most precious feeling in the world.

So, with that being said, I have a project that I'm working on and here's a little sneak peak:

And then there's jobs. You probably thought of paid jobs first right? Well, if you're employed, you know that having a job is important because it's how you can provide for yourself and live comfortably. If you're unemployed, you know also that when you reach a certain age, everyone needs to work because we all need to eat, sleep, and have a roof over our heads. However, we also have another job as Christians-to spread His Word and glorify Him on Earth. I believe that this can start as small as being a blessing in your home, and it can be as big as leading others to Christ. Either way, we are called to use the time He has given us wisely and to use our God-given gifts well.

Lastly, single people. Oh how society has messed up the meaning of relationships, gender, and "love." In this world where guys are calling themselves girls and girls are marrying each other, we can see how this society has turned its back on God. However, even as Christians, it can be hard to wait for the right guy. My two main points for this topic is to be patient and to not settle. God will bring you the right person at the right time, and if we can't be patient, then we will end up on the wrong road. And if God is calling you to be single, then we must learn how to praise His Name nonetheless. And my other point-don't settle. If the person you are interested in is not a man or woman of God, then I would not pursue the relationship. As Christians, our number one priority should be Jesus and concerning relationships, we should look for someone who is putting God first too. Therefore, when a relationship is made where both people are seeking God first, God can bless the relationship as He is in the midst of it all.

I hope that my train of thought made sense and you were able to see how we need Jesus in our lives daily. I hope that you have an amazing week!

Much love and keep dreaming,

Momo
